Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 oz. butter
- 2 oz. raisins
- 2 oz. sugar
- 2 oz. mixed peel
- 2 oz. sultanas
- pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 c. milk (approximately)
Directions

1Sift flour and baking powder.

2Add sugar and salt.

3Rub in butter.

4Add fruit and mix.

5Add eggs and sufficient milk to make stiff dough.

6Turn dough onto lightly floured board.

7Knead until surface next to board is smooth.

8Roll out to about 1/2-inch thick and cut into squares or with a cutter.

9Place on greased cookie sheet.

10Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.

11Serve hot with butter, jam and whipped cream.
