- 2 sticks butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs one at a time.

3Add flour and mix well.

4Add vanilla.

5Place bowl in refrigerator overnight. When ready to bake tea cakes, use a teaspoon and take a small ball of dough out about the size of your thumb.

6With your greased hands, roll the dough into a smooth ball and lay on cookie sheet. Press the ball down very flat with a fork.

7Bake at 350° until edges are brown.

8The chilled dough is easier to work with.

9Also keep fork in cup of ice water and it will work better.
