- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. all-bran or 100% Bran Flakes
- 3 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 6 to 6 1/2 c. flour, sifted
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 pkg. yeast
Directions

1Combine shortening, sugar, bran and salt.

2Add boiling water; stir until shortening melts.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Add eggs and yeast that has been dissolved in lukewarm water.

5Add 3 cups flour; beat well.

6Add remaining flour and beat well.

7Knead until smooth.

8Place in greased bowl; cover and let rise until double in bulk.

9Shape into rolls (or can roll up and cut out like biscuits); allow to rise again.

10Bake at 400° for 10 to 20 minutes.
