- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. blueberries, raspberries or sliced peaches or strawberries
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2In a mixing bowl toss sugar together with fruit.

3Put butter in an 8 x 10-inch ovenproof serving dish and place in oven to melt.

4Sift flour, baking powder and salt together into a bowl.

5Stir in milk to make a batter.

6Pull hot dish of melted butter from oven and pour in bottom which will bubble around sides.

7Quickly spoon fruit and juice evenly over batter.

8Return to oven and bake until done and rises up around the fruit.

9Bake 30 or 40 minutes.

10Serves 6 to 8.
