  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3 medium potatoes, cut into small cubes
  • 3 carrots, cut into small cubes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 (8-inch) unbaked pie shells

Directions

    Brown meats together and drain.

    Add potatoes, carrots, onion, sage and water.

    Simmer until vegetables are tender.

    Pour into pie shell.

    Top with second shell and cut several small slits in center to let steam escape.

    Bake at 400° until pie crusts are brown, about 45 minutes.
