  • 8 - 10 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 21/4 cups flour
  • 2 sticks (8 ounces) butter, softened
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (medium to fine chop)
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 - 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

    Preheat oven to 425°. Mix all ingredients together well until stiff, cohesive dough forms (this is easiest to do with your hands). Roll into 3/4 - 1 inch balls. Bake on an ungreased or lightly greased cookie sheet for 12-15 minutes for small biscuits or 15- 18 minutes for larger ones. Watch carefully so that the bottoms don't burn.
