- 2 lb. round steak, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 6 potatoes
- 6 small onions
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes, drained (save liquid)
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 c. liquid from tomatoes
- 1 can cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup (add 1 soup can water to flour mixture)
Directions

1Brown steak in shortening.

2Place steak in 3-quart casserole. Arrange potatoes, carrots, onions and tomatoes over meat in casserole.

3Add flour, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and liquid from tomatoes to shortening.

4Pour over vegetables and cover.

5Bake at 350° for one hour.

6Serves 6.
