  • 1 (8-inch) unbaked pie shell
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 3 eggs
  • whipped cream
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. melted butter

Directions

    Line pie shell with pecans.

    Beat eggs well.

    Add syrup, sugar, salt and butter; mix and pour slowly into shell.

    Bake in moderately hot oven at 375° on lower shelf for about 40 minutes. Cool.

    Serve topped with spoonfuls of whipped cream.
