  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 Tbsp. almond extract

Directions

    Melt butter and sugar.

    Beat in eggs and add flour, salt and almond extract.

    Mix well.

    Line a 10-inch skillet with foil and pour batter over it.

    Top the batter with slivered almonds and bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

    Remove foil after cake has cooled.
