- 1 c. butter
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1 c. sliced almonds
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Melt butter in a large heavy saucepan.

2Add sugar, syrup and water.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to a hard crack stage (300°).

4Quickly stir in nuts.

5Pour in a well-greased pan, 13 x 9-inches.

6Cool thoroughly in refrigerator.

7Turn out onto wax paper.

8Spread top with half of the Hershey bar, melted. Return to refrigerator to set chocolate.

9Invert candy and spread other side with other half of chocolate bar.

10Break into pieces when chocolate is set.

11Store in refrigerator.
