- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. ground almonds
- 2 Tbsp. cream or milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
Directions

1Beat cream, sugar, butter and egg together until well creamed. Boil gently for 10 to 15 minutes in double boiler; do not let it burn.

2Remove from oven and stir in almonds.

3Let cool to lukewarm.

4Add almond extract when cool.

5Spread icing on cold cake.

6Cover almond icing with white butter icing.
