  • 1 c. almonds, blanched
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 2 c. cold water
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped dates
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. Clear Jell or Emes plain kosher-jel

Directions

    Whiz almonds in hot water until smooth, approximately 2 minutes.

    Add cold water, lemon juice, dates and salt.

    Whiz until smooth and creamy.

    Measure Clear Jell and have ready to add as quickly as possible while blender is running at high speed.

    Yield: 1 quart.
