- 3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 3/4 c. raspberry jam
- 3 egg whites
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shredded coconut
- 1 c. blanched almonds, slivered
Directions

1Cream butter or margarine and powdered sugar.

2Add flour, mixing well, and press into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

3Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown.

4Spread jam over hot layer.

5Beat egg whites until foamy.

6Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff.

7Fold in coconut.

8Spread over jam.

9Sprinkle with almonds and bake for 20 minutes.

10Cool and cut into squares.
