- 1 1/2 c. toasted almonds, chopped
- 2 1/3 c. almonds (not toasted), chopped
- 1 lb. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1In a heavy saucepan, melt butter.

2Add sugar and chopped, untoasted almonds.

3Stir mixture occasionally with a wooden spoon over medium to medium-low heat.

4Cook until candy thermometer reads 280°.

5Quickly remove from heat.

6Pour into ungreased jelly roll pan and spread out evenly with knife.

7While still hot, sprinkle chocolate chips, wait a bit and spread when melted. Sprinkle toasted almonds over top.

8Let cool several hours.

9Break into small pieces.
