  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 egg white
  • sliced almonds

    Beat the margarine, sugar, eggs and extract together until creamy. Add the flour and mix well. Divide dough in half and put in 2 (8-inch) cake or pie tins. Brush with the egg white and sprinkle with sugar and sliced almonds. Bake at 325° for 30 to 40 minutes.
