  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine (room temp.)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1 cup unsifted flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar, beat until light and add flour, salt and almonds.

    Add vanilla and mix with hands, dough should hold together.

    Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

    Make round cookies in palm of your hands, place on foil lined ungreased baking sheet.

    Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until cookies are light brown.

    While still warm dust with confectioners sugar and allow to cool.

    Yields about 60 cookies.
