Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans Prima Salsa or any spaghetti sauce
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 8 oz. narrow noodles
  • 1 pt. cottage cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Brown meat in skillet; drain fat.

    Stir in sauce and water; bring to a boil.

    Add noodles; cook until tender.

    Mix in bowl cottage cheese, parsley flakes, salt, oregano, garlic salt and egg.

    Layer ground beef mixture and cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese in baking dish, 9 x 12-inch.

    Add mushrooms if you like. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes.
