- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

2In a large bowl, sift together all dry ingredients. Cut in margarine until mixture looks like coarse oatmeal. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour the milk in the well. Stir dough until it begins to pull together. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface.

3Press dough together and roll out until 3/4 inch thick. Cut into 2-u=inch round biscuits. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.

4Bake in preheated oven for 9 minutes, or until golden brown.
