  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 450 grams All-purpose Flour
  • 4 teaspoons Coconut Sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoons Salt
  • 250 grams Butter, Cold
  • 130 milliliters Cold Water
  • 2/3 Tablespoons Butter, For Greasing Pan
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 6 whole Medium Apples
  • 3 Tablespoons Ground Walnuts
  • 6 Tablespoons Coconut Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

    For the crust:

    Mix four, sugar and salt together. Cut in butter. Slowly add the water until you form a dough. Divide the dough-2/3 for the bottom of the pie and 1/3 for the top. Let it sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

    For the filling:

    Peel and core the apples and slice about 1/5 inch thick. Mix with all dry ingredients.

    Grease a pie pan with butter and add bottom crust. Fill pie with apples. Slice the top pie dough into stripes and add them on the top.

    Preheat oven to 450°F degrees and bake for about 20 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375°F and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
