- Topping
- 1/4c brn sugar
- 1/2c white sugar
- 1/2c flour
- 1TBS of cinnamon
- 1tsp nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- Filling
- 1/2c butter (diced into cubes)
- 4-5 large apples sliced thin (no skin)
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts (if desired)
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1c heavy cream
- 1tsp cinnamon
- 1tsp vanilla
Directions

1In one bowl mix the 6 ingredents of topping and set aside.

2Place pie shell in a deep dish pie pan,crimp edges

3add sliced apples

4sprinkle cinnamon,dot with butter cubes, add walnuts.

5Add egg and heavy cream together then pour over apples.

6Bake for 1 hour, after the first 20 minutes sprinkle on topping and continue to bake about 40 minutes, or until the topping puffs and gets brown.
