- 5 ancho chilies, crushed
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warm
- Ancho potatoes
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- salt
Directions

1Ancho milk: Steep chilies in milk for 10-15 minutes, cool slightly and puree.

2Use as you would regular milk.

3Ancho potatoes: Place mashed potatoes in a saucepan and add the rest of the ingredients.

4Heat slowly, stirring regularly to avoid burning and to blend well adding the remaining milk if needed.
