- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. warm water
Directions

1Sift flour, add sugar and cut in shortening.

2Add yeast and buttermilk.

3Knead and place in refrigerator overnight; covered. Cut off amount needed.

4Make out as biscuits, but do not allow to rise before baking.

5Bake at 400° to 425° for 15 minutes or until done.
