  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 5 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Stir yeast into warm water. Add oil, buttermilk, sugar, soda and flour. Mix well until smooth. Cover and refrigerate. Use as needed. Keeps 5 or 6 days. Bake biscuits at 350° until browned.
