  • 5 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. vegetable shortening
  • 2 c. sweet milk
  • 1 pkg. yeast, in 1/2 c. warm water

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients together.

    Cut in shortening until mixed well.

    Add milk and dissolved yeast.

    Work together until flour is moist.

    Cover bowl and refrigerate.

    (This dough will keep for a week.)

    Pinch out dough; place in greased pan and bake at 375° for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
