- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. Crisco shortening
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 c. warm water
Directions

1Add yeast to water.

2Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Roll out dough as you would for regular biscuits.

3Dip in butter and bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.

4Dough can be kept in the refrigerator in covered bowl for 3 days.
