- 5 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Cut in shortening.

3Dissolve yeast in warm water; add buttermilk.

4Stir well.

5Add to flour mixture.

6Mix until blended.

7Knead for 1 minute or until smooth. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness.

8Cut; place on greased pan.

9Let rise for at least 30 minutes.

10Bake at 400° for 10 minutes or until brown.

11Will keep in refrigerator in bulk for 4 days.

12Makes good cinnamon rolls.
