- 1 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. warm milk
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together twice.

2Cut shortening into flour mixture with pastry blender.

3Dissolve yeast according to directions on the packet.

4Mix buttermilk and warm milk with yeast. Then add to flour.
