- 1 (1/4 ounce) package active dry yeast
- 14 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon butter or 1 margarine
- 34 cup milk
Directions

1In a small bowl sprinkle yeast over water.

2Add sugar set aside till foamy.

3In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.

4Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

5Add yeast mixture and milk and mix lightly with fork until well combined.

6Cover dough and let rise until double about 30 minutes.

7Grease baking pan.

8On lightly floured surface roll dough 1/2 inch thick cut in what ever shapes you like--round, square, etc.

9Place on greased pan with fork pierce biscuits lightly a few times.

10Let rise 45 minute till puffed.

11Bake at 375F till golden.
