- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.

2Mix dry ingredients, cutting in the shortening as you would do for a pie crust.

3Stir in the buttermilk and water/yeast mixture.
