- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 8 saltine crackers, crumbled
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and add sugar gradually. Continue beating until stiff peaks hold their shape.

2Fold in cracker crumbs and nuts.

3Place mixture in a greased 8 or 9-inch pie pan.

4Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

5Cool in refrigerator. Next day, fill with whipped cream as pie sinks in the middle as it cools.
