- 4 large Vidalia onions, sliced
- 1/8 lb. butter (1/2 stick)
- 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. dry English mustard
- 1 1/2 c. shredded American or Swiss cheese
Directions

1Saute onions in butter until golden brown.

2Transfer to a casserole dish.

3Combine the bread crumbs, salt, pepper and mustard.

4Spread over onions in the casserole.

5Sprinkle the cheese over mixture.

6Bake until cheese is melted, about 20 minutes at 350°.
