- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. white ???
- 1/2 white corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Mix the ingredients in large saucepan.

2Stir to just dissolve. Cook to hard crack stage over medium heat (300°) for 25 to 30 minutes from start to boiling.

3Do not stir.

4After boiling has ceased, add 1 teaspoon anise oil and 1 teaspoon red food coloring. Butter 2 pie plates.

5Pour into pie plates.

6While still warm, gently make indentations until it cools and holds its shape.

7I use the back of a butter knife to make squares.

8Don't break through the film.
