- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 1 c. Carnation canned milk
- 3/4 c. melted butter or margarine
- 14 oz. Kraft caramels
- 2/3 c. Carnation canned milk
- 1 c. real milk chocolate chips
- 1 c. dark chocolate chips
- 2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Mix the cake mix, 1 cup canned milk and melted butter or margarine together.

2Pour slightly less than 1/2 batter into a 9 x 13-inch pan.

3Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until firm, at 350°.

4Melt the caramels with 2/3 cup canned milk; pour mixture on top of cake mix.

5Top with nuts.

6Add a layer of all chocolate chips.

7Cover with the remainder of batter.

8Bake at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes. Do not overbake!
