- 6 Italian hot sausages
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium head cabbage
- salt and pepper to taste

1Prick sausages and bring to boil in water to cover.

2Boil 25 minutes.

3Remove and cool.

4Slice 1/2-inch thick.

5In large pot, put sausages.

6Cut cabbage as if for coleslaw (1/4-inch wide, 3-inch lengths).

7Add to pot.

8Add onion.

9Salt and pepper to taste.

10Simmer until cabbage strips are soft.
