- 1 c. regular oats
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. coconut sweetened, shredded
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 c. stick margarine melted
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. cane syrup golden brown or possibly light cooking spray
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325 deg F. Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl; stir well.

2Add in margarine, water, and syrup; stir well.

3Drop by level Tbsp., 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.

4Bake at 325 deg F for 12 min or possibly till almost set.

5Remove from oven; let stand 2-3 min or possibly till hard.

6Remove cookies from baking sheets.

7Place on wire racks; let cold completely.
