  • 1 cup Butter, Softened
  • 1-1/4 cup Granulated Sugar, Divided
  • 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 7 whole Apples (peeled And Sliced)

Directions

    First heat the oven to 350°F. Line a small sheet pan with parchment paper. Spray with nonstick spray.

    In a large bowl, cream the butter and 1 cup sugar together. Blend in the eggs and stir well. Add the flour and baking powder. Mix until a stiff dough forms.

    Add the milk slowly and stir until a heavy creamy batter forms. Spread the batter on the prepared sheet pan. Top the batter with the sliced apples.

    Bake for 40-45 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. During the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle the top of the cake with the remaining 1/4 cup of sugar and finish baking.

    Serve as is or with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
