- (Appleflappen) (another Dutch treat)
- 1 c. flour healthy pinch salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking pwdr
- 1 x egg
- 2/3 c. room temperature beer apples - pippins are best but any tart, crisp apple will do oil for deep frying sugar and cinnamon powdered sugar
Directions

1Peel and core apples.

2Slice about 1/4 inch thick and sprinkle each layer with cinnamon and sugar.

3I do this part early in the evening.

4Mix the flour, salt and baking pwdr.

5Beat the egg into the beer, stir in flour mix.

6Dip the apple slices in batter, then fry in deep fat till lightly browned.

7Drain in brown paper bag.

8Place on paper towel lined plate or possibly platter then sift powdered sugar over each layer or possibly drip in cinnamon and sugar mix to coat.
