Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, grated
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint or 1 tsp. dried
  • 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs (1 slice)
  • 1 egg
  • flour as needed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. ouzo or dry white wine
  • 2 Tbsp. olive or vegetable oil

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except flour and oil,

    in large bowl. Using about 1 tablespoon of mixture for each meatball, shape into balls.

    Roll each meatball lightly in flour to coat.

    Place in single layer on a baking sheet.

    Refrigerate 1 hour or up to 2 days.
