Ingredients

  • 1 (18 oz.) Kraft barbecue sauce
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. torn fresh bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • oil
  • 1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 (5 1/2 oz.) pkg. cocktail franks or 1/2 lb. hot dogs, sliced
  • 1 c. green pepper chunks
  • 1 (6 oz.) can water chestnuts, undrained

Directions

    Combine 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce, meat, bread, egg, onion and salt.

    Mix lightly.

    Shape into 30 (1-inch) balls.

    Brown in oil.

    Add remaining barbecue sauce, pineapple chunks, frankfurters, green pepper and water chestnuts.

    Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly heated.

    Serve hot.
