- 4 c. sliced pared tart apples or 1 (1 lb. 2 oz.) can pie sliced apples, drained
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. butter
Directions

1Mound apples in buttered 9-inch pie plate.

2Sprinkle with orange juice.

3Also, sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on apples. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.

4Sprinkle over apples.

5Can add a little oatmeal to mixture if desired.

6Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp.

7Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.
