  • 1 qt. sliced, pared Winesap apples
  • 1 qt. 1/2-inch soft Cookbook bread cubes
  • 1/4 c. melted Oakfarms butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar

Directions

    Combine apples and bread cubes in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.

    Combine butter, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice.

    Pour over apples in casserole.

    Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 40 minutes.

    Remove from oven; sprinkle with brown sugar and reheat a few moments, if desired.

    Top with Oakfarms cream.
