  • 100 ml (3-1/3 oz.) butter
  • 250 ml (1 c.) flour
  • 100 ml (3-1/3 oz.) sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 125 ml (1/2 c.) milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 can apple pie filling
  • cinnamon and ground cloves
  • sprinkles

Directions

    Hand knead the butter into the flour, baking powder and sugar.

    Gently beat the egg, vanilla and milk.

    Add into the flour mixture.

    Mix until smooth.

    Grease 12x18 pan, pour in 3/4 of the batter, sprinkle with cinnamon and cloves, spread the pie mixture over it, then cover with remaining batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until lightly brown.

    Cool and cut into squares.
