- 6 lb. apples, quartered
- 2 qt. sweet cider
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Directions

1Cook apples in cider until tender.

2Press through a sieve or food mill; measure 3 quarts of apple pulp.

3Cook pulp until thick enough to round up in a spoon.

4As pulp thickens, stir frequently to prevent sticking.

5Add sugar and spices.

6Cook slowly, stirring frequently until thick, about 1 hour.

7Pour hot, into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.

8Adjust caps.

9Process pints and quarts for 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
