Ingredients
- 3 c. sweet apple cider
- 2 lb. apples (about 6 large)
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
Directions

1Cook the cider over medium heat until it boils.

2Boil 15 minutes.

3Peel and core the apples.

4Cut into small pieces.

5Add apples to boiling cider.

6Cover.

7Cook apples over low heat until tender, about 1 hour. Stir often.

8When apples are tender, remove pot from heat.

9Mash apples with a potato masher.

10Stir in the honey, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.

11Cook the apple mixture, uncovered, over low heat for 30 minutes or until thick.

12Cool for at least 15 minutes, then spoon into jars.
