- 6 lbs approx. 2 dozen medium-sized apples
- 2 quarts sweet apple cider
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 12 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions

1Core and quarter apples.

2Cook apples in cider until tender.

3Press through a sieve or food mill; measure out 3 quarts apple pulp.

4Cook pulp until thick enough to round up in a spoon.

5As pulp thickens, stir frequently to prevent sticking.

6Add sugar and spices.

7Cook slowly, stirring frequently, until thick, about 1 hour.
