- 2 Reinette apples
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- cinnamon to taste
- 1 1/2 cups port wine
- 7/8 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 5/8 cups flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

2Peel apple, core and thinly slice.

3Place apple slices in a bowl with sugar, generous amount of cinnamon, and Port wine.

4Set aside to marinate.

5For the dough, beat butter until creamy.

6Add sugar and eggs, mixing well between each addition.

7Add the flour.

8Pour batter into a greased and floured small rectangular baking pan.

9Drain apples.

10Firmly press apple slices into dough with rounded edge facing up.

11Bake in preheated oven.
