  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • dash of salt
  • Cool Whip or powdered sugar for frosting

    Preheat oven to 325°.

    Cream oleo, sugar and eggs.

    Beat well.

    Add diced apples.

    Add flour which has been sifted with soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

    Add nuts.

    Mix and place in an 8 x 8-inch greased pan.

    Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.

    Serve with Cool Whip or dust top with powdered sugar.
