- 1 lb. carrots, scraped, sliced diagonally
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/4 c. butter, thinly sliced
- 3/4 c. orange juice
Directions

1Combine carrots and water; bring to boil.

2Cover and simmer 5 minutes until crisp and tender.

3Drain and set aside.

4Combine sugar and flour; set aside.

5Layer half the carrots and apples in greased 2-quart casserole.

6Sprinkle with half sugar and flour mixture; dot with butter.

7Repeat procedure.

8Drizzle with orange juice.

9Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

10Toss before serving.
