  • Crust:

  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • Filling:
  • 2 packages cream cheese (8 oz)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Topping:
  • 4 cups thinly sliced apples
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

    Cream butter sugar and vanilla. Blend in flour. Press into 13x9 pan covering bottom. Bake crust for 5 minutes at 450 degrees.

    Mix cream cheese, eggs and sugar well. Spread filling evenly over baked crust.

    Topping:

    Arrange apples over filling. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle mixture over apples.

    Bake at 450 degrees for 1 minute, then reduce temperature to 375 degrees baking an additional 25 minutes. Apples will be tender, center of the cheese filling will be soft set like pudding.
