Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2/3 c. oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. finely chopped apples
  • 3/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. chocolate bits or pieces
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)

Directions

    Combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt and soda. Combine the oil, vanilla, eggs and milk and add to flour mixture. Stir just until moist, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Grease and flour a 10-inch fluted tube pan.

    Pour in mixture. Bake in a 325° oven for 55 to 60 minutes.

    Cool for 15 minutes. Remove from pan.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired. Makes 16 servings.
